PRP Injections today (March 23, 2011)

Today I had my first PRP Injections.  I want to keep a log of how I feel over the next 6 weeks so others that want to have this done will see how I do.

I woke up early and ate a light breakfast - Shakeology http://www.Shakeology.com/ShawnFitness

I wore sweats to the hospital because I did not know what to expect after the injections
Turns out, that was a smart idea

Make sure you have someone to drive you back from the hospital

IN THE OPERATING ROOM
They made me lay on my stomach as I was having the PRP injections done to help with my SI joint and back pain

I felt the sting of the pain meds, but that was quick and expected...not a lot of pain at all... less pain than a bee sting for sure

I felt "pressure" as they were injecting my plasma but did not hurt

All done... I stayed for 15 minutes so they could keep an eye on me...and was driven home

They asked to keep  a pain log for the next 6 hours:

PAIN SCALE 0-10 (0 no pain, 10 worst pain)
10am  0
11am 0
12 pm 0
1pm 0
2pm 0
3pm 0
4pm 0
5pm 0
6pm 0

It is not a bad thing...PRP is better than Prolotherapy, less pain and works longer (so far..they are correct)

I will post a video over the next 6 weeks to keep you up to date on my pain and how well I feel
